Breaking shit in the office

There are countless guides to breaking into banking but none on breaking things once you get there.

This morning, for reasons unbeknownst, my computer suddenly died mid-sentence in an important call, despite being plugged in to my dock, and I instinctively took my headset off, beat it against the edge of my desk a few times and tossed it aside - it felt great.

Our interns were a taken aback a little but other colleagues said this happened regularly at their previous banks. As we all work in a super high-stress environment in which tempers and egos quickly collide, voices are raised etc., I'm curious to find out how commonplace it is in this industry for folks to smash their electronics in frustration.

How often do you see this happen? Just keyboards and mice or even monitors and laptops? Are lucite dealtoys chucked across the floor? What does IT or HR have to say about this? Thanks for sharing!

after my computer crashed, deleting hours upon hours of work, I grabbed the stapler on my desk and threw it as hard as possible at the cleaning lady. needless to say, I was fired on the spot and have been out of work since
