Business School Type Real Estate Case Studies

Anyone know a good source for free real estate case studies? Another poster posted the following one on 666 Fifth Ave, which I found very interesting:

Looking for something maybe like Value Investor's Club, where there are hundreds of write ups on potential investments.

Obviously HBS has a wide range of real estate case studies, but they're all $8, which can add up if you're looking to read hundreds. A former colleague also recommended a Poorvu book full of case studies, which I plan on purchasing.

Thanks in advance.

CRE, thanks for the input (as always).

seems to me like the ULI case studies center around development (heavy in the market feasibility, construction, entitlements, etc. aspects). i was looking for cases in the financial aspects--JVs, transferring of interests, loan workouts, etc., which the 666 fifth ave case study touches upon. any advice on that front?

Why is 666 fifth avenue the only public GSAPP case study? Does anyone know where I can find additional Columbia caseworks? They seem interesting. Wonder if they are any ex Columbia grad students looking to lend a hand. We can all chip in $$$

Would love to see more case studies. I have attached one about Blackstone's investment in Hilton.

Abstract

On December 13, 2013, two days after its IPO, Hilton hotels traded above $22 a share. This meant that the 2007 take-private transaction of Blackstone had produced the largest gain ever in private equity at about $10 billion. In addition, Hilton had become the largest hotel group in the world by number of rooms up from 4th position 6 years previously, when Blackstone bought the company. How can such success occur with a cyclical business during the worst financial crisis since 1929-1933? Somebody definitely deserves a big box of chocolates; but who? The answer is surprising and offers a detailed insight into the life-cycle of real estate private equity transactions.
