GS > MS > JPM > Citi = CS > DB > Barcap > BAML > UBS

But srsly I hear Citi outside of NYC is not very good. JPM healthcare is strong in San Fran.

Citi healthcare was known as one of the most brutal groups on the Street in the wonder years (2004 to 2007). Most likely the New York group. I don't hear about anything they do in SF.

I'd pass as working for Citi....... Lots of options in SF or move to NYC!

they were part of HCA

MS and CS were advisors to HCA

ML was the absolute 100% lead advisor on HCA. MS didn't come in until the Board of Directors needed to appoint a Special Committee. Up until that point, it was all ML.

ML was advising the consortium / CS MS were on the target side

Apr 3, 2011

pitched the idea to HCA first. No other bank was involved until everyone was way into the deal and the company needed the special committee. Up until that point, ML was working for/with all parties involved. The deal was originally sourced through ML Healthcare Group, so ML had to be working on HCA's side at least to start.

i was referring to special committee...ML did originate the deal.
