Claremont. The school was designed to teach econ (and gov). You'll get the advantage of the consortium. Better academics in my opinion. Plenty of great opportunities on the west and you'll only be 35 miles from LA. And you really want to be in NY, fine. You'll only be a Claremont for school anyway, it's not like you'll have to commit to spending the rest of your life there or anything.
It's possible to get trading interviews at CMC but it'll take some effort. You would have to come from a quant background or have trading experience to get the interview. There are are some alumni in the area though.

i know personally that the last statement is not true. i think i know who you are now.

the day someone takes amgen corp fin over BBFO is the day that this site becomes useless
You are foolish. You have an offer from a very good and growing bank for trading, and you want to shell out a ton of money to go back to school......so that you can gain access to an industry that you are already in, except this time you want to go to a BB so you can pin a name on your chest. Good traders are good traders, brand name on the resume or otherwise.
the student that is going to Amgen turned down JP Morgan Private Bank. The Amgen offer was awesome. 40 hour workweek, living in SoCal, ridiculous salary, benefits, bonus, and stock options. he'll be better paid than the IBD analysts starting out.

Come on man, you've almost got 200 nanas, you should be able to find this, there's a CURRENT thread asking the same question:
http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/villanova-or-claremont-mckenna-ms…
but all their exit opps on their site are for smallish asset managers, im talking trading at a bb (not going to prager, sealy and co)
Fair enough, my apologies if I sounded condescending.
Do you want to live/work on the east or west coast?
don't care---but would want to start out in bb trading (which i believe is generally in NYC)

Comments rescinded. Glad you are happy with your decision as you would be nuts not to be.
