So I got this job description for a collateral analyst position at BB from a headhunter and I was told this is a FO job. But after reading the des I feel like this is more like ops. Can anyone familiar with this position provide some insights?

As those above have said its definitely BO. When we do MM/mezz debt and There's a pro-rata or ABL revolver tranchewith the borrowing base, we and the rest of the lending group will get emails from collateral analysts who are basically doing aging on receivables, inventory turn analysis, etc.

wouldn't this role be considered FO/MO in the AM arm of the BB?
I say this bc structured products aren't traded often (aside from agency and non-agency MBS). And, these collateral analyst positions are usually on the buyside because AMs want to know what they're going to hold (since they usually buy and hold these products).
also, the description says the analysis will help with the trading and advisory of these products - I take this to mean there will be a close relationship with the FO. The MO aspect of this role, IMO, is the reporting function to everyone else.
