Never had a problem. I keep a lens case and solution at my desk (as well as a spare pair b/c you never know when you have an accidental rip). I'll swap out whenever my eyes start to get tired. My particular feelings is that after 12-14 hrs, you should take out your lenses to let your eyes rest if you are working late into the night. It's worked wonders for me because I can prevent myself from crashing in my lenses.

I would recommend the following:

-Use glasses if at all possible. -If you must wear contacts, use Clearcare solution. Look it up. It is much easier on your eyes than normal solution. -Take Lutein supplements. -Don't get LASIK during your analyst stint. -Move your eyes around, don't let them be glued to your screen for too long.

I had Lasik done... best money I've ever spent. Incredible procedure with virtually no side effects. However, as mentioned before, I would not do it during your analyst years. The first month or so you have to get used to bright lights and looking at a computer screen for a long time might get a little agitating.

I was back at work the next day after my procedure but had to take a few breaks from looking at the screen (I was only staring at a screen 4-5 hours a day anyways).
