Credit Suisse or Deutsche: IBD London

Hey guys,

Have to make this decision in the next few days for a internship. Are there any significant different between the two in London/ in general, in terms of deal flow, placements, etc. Also, which IBD teams are know to be strong at CS and DB? I obviously have my own thoughts about the teams, culture, etc., but wanted to hear more about (i) which teams I should consider (ii) if there is any significant difference in terms of future placements, general quality of deals, etc.

Thanks..

Do you have any info on their conversion ratio from internship to full time? This should be the biggest factor you need to consider if you are planning to go on with banking. That said, I would say that I don't see much difference between the two. As someone already said CS is probably > DB in US (First Boston) but in Europe, I can't see much difference. In my country (Italy), they are both solid.

Finally, you may also take into account the location since one is in the City and the other one is in CW. Can you pick you team? Did you like the people you interviewed with at both firms?

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.

thanks for the response guys. This was not from a spring week.

Tbh, I am not to fussed about the conversion at the moment- from interviews I got the impression at both places that you are good then at the internship, then an offer will be made. Just wanted to check if there are many differences in the experience as an analyst, and opportunities afterwards. Also, regarding teams which are doing well at the two banks atm?

Thanks.
