Deciding between Offers: BlackRock PAG, Goldman Tech, NYSE Please Help

I am currently a Junior deciding between SA offers from BlackRock PAG, Goldman Tech, and the NYSE (more on the tech side though). Any advice on which to chose? I would like to end up in a front-office IBD position for FT. Can anyone tell me about the exit ops from the above position? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Assuming you're not talking about GS TMT, go with Blackrock PAG.

BlackRock PAG hour is insane. You have to be in the office at 6.30am everyday and leaves at around 11pm on daily basis. 9pm free dinners though up to $20. I dont know if they still do that considering the bad market condition. You got to meet with the portfolio managers on daily basis handing out their "duration analysis" and then you do on your way doing other IT related stuff. GS IT working hours is much more reasonable. Daily interactions with traders/sales, solving their queries and requests, enhancing the system, etc. How easy to move from PAG to Portfolio Mgmt? It is easier now than before. It was really hard to move there before up to the point that most people in PAG quit. Now, I guess things have gotten better. GS IT, well, to move to trading/sales is rather difficult, but possible. I don't quite understand why people want to go to IBD? Working hours are bad, pay is the same as any other FO roles, even trading got higher bonuses. I would say it's easier from GS to move into IBD internally than BLK PAG, since BLK is obviously not an Investment Bank - rather an Investment Management firm, which obviously will not support you with much knowledge of the Sell-side business.

In this case, if you really want to go for IBD, I would choose GS. Which is already an investment bank.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Would the fact that i would be in PAG implementation (a part of the automation implementation and reporting group) make a negative difference? I feel like thats more of the MO/BO role within PAG.

PAG is all MO/BO. But that certainly sounds like one of the more boring roles.

lovingthesnow85BlackRock PAG is front office at BlackRock.. at many other firms that position is Middle Office because it's catered towards products the firm is selling (at GS for example, if you're doing a PAG type role it's for a GS product..at BlackRock, PAG IS a PRODUCT sold to clients who don't have that capability or would rather BlackRock do it than have it done internally).

I don't work at BlackRock, nor Have I, but have a VERY good friend who does

Starbucks baristas are also front office.
