Desautels (McGill) Master of Management in Finance

Hey everyone,

I am looking at completing a Masters as a reset button to my undergrad and to hopefully make me more employable. I just graduated a month ago and the job market is very tough. I came the Masters of Management in Finance and it seems quite good although its quite new. Can anyone provide their thoughts on it as well? Can this program help me with employment?

Thanks

since it is a new program, I would avoid. same thing with the Queens MFin. your better bet is with McMaster MBA with Co-op if you just want a decent job. just look through Linkedin of people who graduated MMF vs MBA co-op.

where did you do your undergrad and what program? I don't know what you are aiming for but if its Big 5 FO, then better chance at Rotman (MBA or MFE)/Schulich/Queens

Thanks for the reply. I just figured it would be a solid program because McGill has a good reputation and alumni network. I am quite familiar with the Mac MBA Co-Op program, but I keep reading and being told not to do an MBA without experience, which is why I was considering McGill. Right now I am looking for something in research with a end goal of being a portfolio manager. I am interested in things PE and IB, but it is obviously super competitive.

I will PM you my undergrad and program...
