diff. between LTM and TTM / shortcut for wrap/ shortcut for merge cells
Monkeys,
Is there a difference between LTM and TTM? I'm under the impression that it just means the previous consecutive 12 months before a certain date, which doesn't necessarily have to be today. (For example, LTM EBITDA as of 3/31/2007 would cover the 12 month interval prior to 3/31/2007. Is this the same as TTM EBITDA?
Also,
What are the shortcuts for wrap and merge cells? Ctrl + 1 --> Alignment is getting tedious...
Thanks!
LTM = TTM.
Merge: Alt-H, M, M
Wrap: Alt-H, W
Generally, to find a shortcut to any button on the ribbon, press and hold Alt. You can figure out the way from there.
Never merge cells. Always Ctrl + 1 and center across selection. It's a pain to when you have to copy and paste merged cells.
I learned this through experience.Merged cells are awful, except in a few cases.
Rule of thumb - always keep ALL your columns IDENTICALLY sized, typically at the default width. If you need a bigger column you just let the text run into the next column and take up two columns for one table column, don' t resize it.
This is gold. Thank you.
clarify this, i dont understand what you wrote
ctrl + 1 and then what?
Ctrl+1 > Alignment > Horizontal > Center Across Selection
Is there a way to merge cells vertically in the same fashion?
cheers mate

Just a quick clarification (since I'm a new bee). I checked in wikipedia and other sites regarding TTM & LTM, but couldn't get proper answer.
Is TTM and LTM same?
Yes. They are interchangeable.
Thank you
You have a 1st yr analyst tag? This has to be a joke right?
