Evercore total compensation?
Hi Everyone,
I'll be starting full time at Evercore next year and I'm thinking about staying long term. I really enjoyed my internship and loved the people and work, but I'm wondering what the all-in compensation is like after the couple of analyst years. I don't want to miss the boat for exit recruiting, but if the pay scales nicely, I hope to become a career banker.
My analyst class (2021) was offered $95,000 base salary + $25,000 signing bonus, and assuming 80% end of year bonus (+$76,000) = $196,000 total compensation.
How much does the pay scale for Associates, VP, and MD? I just hoped to get a sense of career progression. Apologies if any assumptions I've made are inaccurate; please feel free to correct me.

summer analyst is $95k prorated, plus $2,500 signing bonus. Comes out to about $22k for the entire summer

Congrats on the offer, great firm to be at. I can’t accurately speak to pay as your career progresses, but be aware that you are going to be looking at some of the best pay in the industry. Analysts at most banks get $85k base, $15k singing, $60-70k bonus. Your analyst pay is already well above this and as you level up, the variance from the average will grow significantly. — Before you dream about a life making millions of dollars, understand that your work/life balance will be absolutely shit, essentially until the day you retire. Your SA program was likely not representative of the actual job...especially given COVID. Also remember that anyone can handle anything for 10 weeks, regardless of what shit storm it is. — I hate to get into the weeds on motive/personal goals, but I speak to this because I certainly went through it. If you are chasing a career in banking strictly for the money (which it seems like you are), expect to burn out really quickly. All the things that actually matter to me are no longer relevant, social life is gone, severe weight loss, etc. I might be worse than others, but to some degree your life is going to suck. Money doesn’t mean anything if there is nothing to spend it on. — Obviously there are a ton of people who make great careers out of banking, and you might be one of them. I just though I would share my two cents for some enlightenment. — God speed, sir/ma’am.
Yup this. Any career which requires utter and total dedication from a client-service standpoint will eventually erode you unless it is something you truly enjoy. Chasing the money will make you sad and bitter in the not-so-long run. Totally possible to love the client-service role but that needs to be the real motivator rather than thinking about the incremental comp you'd make doing the same role at another bank

Is the 25k signing only for interns returning? Heard it was 15k for FT 2022 hires who didnt intern?
