I´m really lost about what to do now, need some advice guys

Hi all,

I need some advice on what to do because I applied to almost all BBs (London) and didn´t get any offer. Not even a superday.

I am graduating in economics this 2018 and I really want to break into AM or ER. I am graduating from a non-target with not outstanding grades (at least I meet the 2:1 criteria). On the other hand I have done very interesting activities outside college like participating in several associations and traveled a lot during the last 3 years. I have completed an internship at a hedge fund as a SA in the S&T department and volunteered in the finance department of a global association during my freshman year.

But I did not pass the vast majority of the numerical tests since I did not practice at all, I passed some of them but then I failed at the hirevues/telephone interviews.

What do you think I should do? I was thinking about trying to do a MiM at LBS/Oxford but is it too late? I do not even have the GMAT and I have no idea what I will be doing when I graduate... This is very frustrating...

what would you do?

You have to expand your reach. Make a point to complete a handful of applications per day.

Broaden your applications to corporate finance at big 4, MM, etc, although it may be too late for even that. Start to study for GMAT and check deadlines for schools (there should be applications in March). Consider European schools—particularly good 2y masters such as SSE as they would allow you to apply for another round of SA.

And get better at numerical tests. It’s a waste not to have 90%+ pass rate.
