Early July start? This hasn't been communicated to any interns, to the best of my knowledge. As of right now, the latest updates they've sent out are that things are currently supposed to go ahead as planned and that more info will be coming soon.

nah i don't think mid may would be late for an early July move in. most places in NY don't open up until like 1 month before move in

BAML start date is July. Onboarding and details on training (possibility of virtual) will be out in the coming weeks.
On another note, what have the banks said about the SIE? Mine said that they still expect everyone to have it done by June even tho the testing centers are closed until May

My BB said they expect everyone to finish June 1st with training in July
My bank said June 1st as well but our training provider said that the date is probably flexible given how fluid the situation is.

A bit confused - your banks are asking incoming analysts to schedule a date, pay for yourself, and report back to them your SIE test results before training in July? if so, is this common practice?
Seems like even with self-study, just expecting everyone to get it done in their own in June (especially when some may still be in school/traveling) can get complicated.

Yes, everything got pushed back 1 month. 6 weeks of training starts mid/late July, depending on the original start date.

Is full time training likely to be virtual?
Still nothing from Barclays HR. Last email we received was early March.
BoA - new analysts can start as early as May 18th or May 25th or June 1st depending on their availability. It was said to be remote part time following 1 week of online training, but people could choose days of availability and up to 12 hours days.

IBD yes. My guess is that they would have a regular training that would likely be virtual at some point later over the summer.
MS London pushed back FT training start to early August and confirmed it would be entirely virtual

did they give any guidance on if they want you in the city during online training? Curious if we need to relocate to the city in-case things switch to in person or can just stay home and save on rent

Hi, I'm an incoming FT. Why do you mention August only, since training was supposed to be from mid July to end of August?
Im based in NYC. Via app it's scheduled from Aug 3 - Aug 28 (Originally in London).

RBC NYC start date is the same but training (~5 weeks originally split in Toronto and NYC) is moved to virtual
CS London start of training delayed by one week. As of now, training expected to be virtual however this might change back to on-site if conditions improve closer to start.

MS London will have virtual training in Aug and hit the desks in Sep; for JP the training in NYC has been made virtual as well, with some people starting to support teams during training period instead

No updates for BAML FT. Last communication was training in July and hit the desk in August. As of now, no changes have been made.
Heard new DB start date for virtual training is Oct 1.
