Indiana University VS University of Richmond

Hi everyone!

I wanted to know which of these schools would be more beneficial in order to get jobs in investments or banking, in big cities and companies such as: NYC,Boston,Philadelphia, etc.

Moreover I’d want to know which would also be better for internships as well.

Thank you in advance

Well IBW is extremely selective so the chances of a person getting in will be quite slim right? So without it do ppl stand a good chance of getting the same level of recruitment or similar

Investment Banking is extremely selective. If you want to break in, at some point you're going to have to accomplish something where the chances were very slim. If you don't get into one of the most selective schools, you're going to have to outperform 95% of your classmates to get a look. You can try that at IU, where it might get you into the IBW and bring recruiting opportunities to your doorstep. Or you can do that at Richmond, where you'll still have to hustle to reach out to alumni and do your own networking. Either way you need to be a top performer and your chances are slim, but the rewards for that are far greater at IU.

University of Richmond is nowhere near the level of IU Kelley, and IBW is phenomenal. I would definitely go for IU, as even outside of the IBW, if you do the right things and keep a 3.8 or 3.9+ GPA (at which point I don't know why you wouldn't be in IBW if you are that successful) it'll be pretty similar to the ops out of Richmond

IU network is a lot stronger than U of R

Oh ok, so basically the connections from IU is better than those from UR, and a person would have a batter chance of getting into a top firm at IU than UR right?
