Insight Partners

Applied for 2023 Investment Summer Analyst and 2022 Inclusion Through Insight Summit opportunity at Insight Partners and had to submit a video cover letter on Hirevue. I thought I'd post the questions because I think I botched it. You get 1 minute to prepare and 1-2 minutes to answer.

2023 SA Opportunity

Why do you currently want to work in venture capital / private equity, and what about working at Insight excites you?

Name one of your areas of development and how you are improving it.

What role do you generally play when you’re on a team?

2022 Inclusion Through Insight Summit

Why do you currently want to work in venture capital / private equity, and what about working at Insight excites you?

Tell us about a mistake you have made and what you learned from it.

Got this one too. Talked about being able to admit when I’m wrong when investing/being humble. I hate that question.

Obvious answer to why Insight - it's super unique you are able to do both growth and buyout from the same fund. Would imagine you get to opportunistically assess what comes across your desk and gain exposure to both types of investing. Obviously as a junior there you are doing a ton of sourcing but I'd imagine there will be some execution work involved at a minimum.
