Introduce yourself, fellow Aussies

Hi all

Glad to see we've got an Aussie group now. Care to introduce yourselves?

I'll go first. I'm a 1st year analyst at an investment bank (M&A). Spent 2 years in big 4 accounting in corporate restructuring and corporate finance before making the move into IB.

Cheers!

Hi guys,

Long time WSO lurker, first time poster.

Final sem at UNSW MFin GPA4.0 hoping to crack S&T. Currently intern in Syd (markets @ non-BB). Will be going for BB interviews in Feb/March.

Have also rec'd offers from several market-makers but undecided...by all account that tasty pie is getting smaller by the day.

Please get in touch if you can help me out/have any specific tips!

Cheers

Hey guys,

I'll be starting BComm at Melbourne Uni this year and am hoping to get into IB in the future.

By the way Mdignam, is that LinkedIn group only for people currently in the industry?

Hey guys, any of you know about the equity research scene in Australia. I'm an equity research --> Asset Management hopeful.

Cheers

Hi guys, seems no ones posted for a while, but good to meet you all.

I'm a B/BusMgmt who is currently doing a MappLaw at UQ in Corporate Law/Finance/Tax.

I've got an internship with IBM GS (Consulting) and will be starting a grad position in Big4 Accounting (Risk) come January. I've worked in a subsidiary of a bank previously in Financial Services, but don't know when I'll get an opportunity to try my hand at IBanking. Would love to get into it though.

Sorry I don't know anything about equity research though. :)

Hey all,

Currently reside in Singapore. I begin my undergrad adventure at ANU in a year's time. I'll be majoring in economics. I'm looking at breaking into AM/PWM.

If any of you make a trip down to Singapore, hit me up at ([email protected]). I'd be more than happy to show you around the "island".

Cheers!
