Is blackrock a good place to work?
anyone got any thoughts on BR in terms of worklife/comp/?
thinking about one of the institutional sales/rel mgmt roles.
how is internal mobility there? is this a pigeonhole career?

Can someone do an AMA where we ask about the ins and outs of bumping a thread?
I have a friend who works there who tells me compensation sucks.
Friend works in the investing side of the firm and absolutely loves it. International as well so they've been able to relocate to multiple offices globally even as a fresh college grad as visa issues pop up.
when you say investment team, why would they travel internationally?
If you don't win the H1-B lottery in the U.S. you have to leave, so Blackrock has helped them relocate when visa issues happen. Pretty cool of the firm to be so supportive.
If you’re a minority, I’d work elsewhere.

I've actually read some pretty wild shit about some of the experiences one of my connections had there. They are anecdotal but it definitely gave me a negative impression of them as far as culture goes.
culture could def do better at the lower-to-mid level management levels.
