Leveraged Loan Portfolio Manager ?

I currently work in Corporate Banking at a large European bank. I had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn about my interest in loan portfolio management at a major buy-side shop (think Blackstone/Carlyle/etc). The role seems to include monitoring and managing risk on a book of leveraged loans and corporate bonds. Question is what should I expect for comp at the associate level? What does the career progression look like and what would potential exit ops look like down the road?

Thanks!
