MBB vs MM PE

High guys. I got junior internship offers at an MBB consulting firm plus a middle market PE firm (AUM is btw 1-5 bil). I'm having a hard time making the decision of which to take; only have a couple of days left to decide. Personally, in the long run I want to be a corporate executive in the pharma or medtech space. Short term, I really just want to learn as much as possible, gain new skills, and hopefully make some good money because I have a lot of student debt rn. The MBB office has almost no healthcare focus, whereas the PE firm has a designated healthcare team I could intern on. MBB is also way farther from home, and I'd probably want to transfer offices eventually.

I think you have this reversed. Someone with a background at a reputable PE shop can more likely move into MBB (especially if your firm has a relationship with the MBB), but not necessarily the other way around. Anecdotally, a bottom-bucket associate at my firm who was just let go found a new role at MBB.
