Misdemeanor trespassing and MBB offer
So I ran into a pretty dumb issue that I'm worried will affect an MBB offer. Over Christmas break a few months ago I was hiking in a state wildlife area with a friend and we were using an outdated map from the internet, we ran into a park ranger and he told us that we had wandered into a wildlife sanctuary area and that he has to write us tickets for trespassing. I just paid the ticket online and didn't really think much of it, but it is still an actual misdemeanor (even though it's the lowest level of misdemeanor, but still more severe than a traffic violation) so I'm still going to have to check a box that says I've been convicted of a crime. The situation that caused it seems pretty innocuous (although I'm an idiot for not making sure I was using the most up to date map of the park), but a misdemeanor trespassing charge may look serious on a background check. Does anyone have an idea about how much of an issue this would be on an MBB background check?

Got the same low-level misdemeanor trespassing ticket for walking across train tracks a few years ago. I have since worked at a BB IB and in consulting and didn't have trouble with background checks for either, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think you do. At least, I wouldn't. This isn't the type of information the question is seeking, and you can easily explain that you checked "no" in good faith, because who would consider getting a ticket for wandering off to be "a crime?"
Same exact situation where I trespassed in a state park and got written up before my background check hit. Still at MBB. You're fine.
