Worse case scenario you'll find out by September 5th, which is when your application(s) will be pushed to regular decision. I'd give it around a month to know if you're in or not.
Anyone else with update yet on Early action? I know some got superdays but also heard those were diversity or rising junior. Would be interested in seeing if anyone non-diversity & rising sophomore got it...

Just finished a 3rd phone interview for the San Francisco Healthcare, was informed at the end of the call to expect another phone interview or a superday in the next few days. Anyone else in the same boat?

No worries man, I expected as much given I didn't do any networking with them, whereas all the other BB's I applied to I heavily networked. I applied mid-July, but didn't hear back regarding a phone screen whatsoever. I think the combination of attending a non-core school and a GPA that wasn't a 4.0 rekt me.
It's just bizarre that I'm as far as I am with JPM which was ranked #1 for tech m&a, yet MS flat out denied me. like wtf lmao
If you're denied from the resume screening for early action, aren't you just put into the regular process?

Ah no worries, thanks though. Yeah I thought so too. I do know one of the junior analysts from high school and we didn't get along so maybe it's that.
Either way, I got a return offer from the boutique I'm at now so regardless, I'm landing somewhere next summer. I'm cautiously optimistic about other BB's (JPM and BAML).

I emailed HR on the 14th and they said we would hear back by the 15th, but I still haven't heard anything. I don't want to be annoying and email them again but this is very strange. Does anyone have info from someone at the firm about what's going on?

Don't think anyone's been straight rejected yet. Either invited to superday or left in limbo
superdays are out now, i was told that if we havent heard back yet that means its a no :(
Are they sending out rejection emails if you don't get past your first round?
HR isn't usually good about sending rejection emails- they usually send it much later, sometimes after the busiest weeks of recruiting (sometimes they don't even send anything). If you didn't move past this early round, you are automatically considered for the regular round- no need to reapply

if you didn't receive news yet, consider yourself bumped to the regular round. The last early superday is this week

MS is usually pretty fast with responses. My friend interviewed with them 2 weeks ago, heard back a day later for a superday this coming Friday.
Yep, extremely fast answers. I got first round a wednesday, they told me that they still have candidates for thursday and Friday, I got called Friday noon for AC. Then after the AC they called 2-3 hours after the interviews (same day)

Not sure if it is typical or not at MS, but it is not uncommon, in general, for some top I-banks to have the first round in the office. In lieu of phoning you and asking you questions, some bankers (and correct me if Im wrong about a banker interviewing you or is it a HR rep?) will rather see you and ask you questions (will probably entail technical and fit if a banker is interviewing you) to get a real understanding of the first round of candidates and who should be dinged vs. who shall not.
it seems odd, but i feel like it could only be a good thing. Why would a bank invite you to their office if they weren't considering you? if anything, you should call to confirm
I talked to HR on the phone it is confirmed, just found that it was weird and it will be conducted by a banker not HR. I just read on here that others have had first rounds on the phone and not in person, but in the end clearly it can only be a good thing.
Yeah, usually first rounds are on the phone.
in person isn't uncommon. MS recruiters have been telling me that if i get selected my first round will be either over phone or in person at the office.
