MS ER should I even bother?

Is it too late to apply to Morgan Stanley ER? Junior associate to be exact not a summer analyst role. I noticed on their website the application is still open but I've been reading around the forum and people already had their super days and are just waiting for a response.

I know I'm a dumbass for waiting this long to apply but I've had a couple interviews where I thought I got the job but ended up not getting it. Can someone elaborate on the typical stats of applicants to this program?

My background: Non-target state school BS Business concentration in Finance (3.4) BA Economics (3.5) Study abroad at top business school Decent EC's 1 internship not in Finance though but in Accounting for major industrial company ($2B+ revenue) that does business with pretty much all F500 companies.

I know being a non-target is an auto-ding but my school has a top computer science program so BB's recruit pretty heavily for technology. So I guess it's not totally off the radar?

Would my knowledge of quant finance be of any use? nothing groundbreaking but just things I've learned over the years with my Google-fu (stat arb, mean reversion, pairs trading, ted spread, etc.)

Don't be gentle I can handle the truth.

You have nothing to lose by submitting an application. However, I highly highly doubt their still actively hiring anyone for next year's class. About half the class this year came from summer interns, and the rest of the offers were given in October. Of course, it's possible that they somehow didn't get enough people accepting offers, or some last minute need came up. But I'd think if that were the case, they'd post an application for a specific team (for example, Junior Associate in Oil and Gas or something like that) instead of just a general entry-level position.

Also, being from a non-target is not an auto ding. While I don't know about offers, there were people at my superday from semi-targets and a couple from complete non targets. Unfortunately, I don't think that you're quant finance knowledge will have much relevance for ER. Generally ER is fundamentals driven.

It can never hurt. Continue to apply everywhere if you think you have an opportunity or want it bad enough. Network, Network, Network...that is the best way.
