Overtime Pay for California Summer Interns 2020
Hi,
I heard from a buddy that California has employment laws that mandate overtime pay for interns, resulting in BBs capping hours for summer analysts at 40/wk. My other buddy and I, who are going to EB/MM, have no mention of this in our offer letters.
The compensation text of mine, which is similar to his, for example: "You will be paid each pay period for services provided based on an annualized salary of $85,000, prorated, less applicable taxes and other required or authorized withholdings."
Are we both SOL?
