Response wait time after 1st round
Wondering how long the typical wait time is to get a response after first round interviews? The suspense is killing me. Thanks!

Depends on the bank.
Heard back from EB within couple days for superday invite.
JPM on the other hand...waiting for 3 weeks+
How long did you end up waiting for a response from JPM? I had a lot of behavioural interviews before the holidays
No Response from first round (Originally Posted: 10/16/2017)
Had a first round exactly two weeks ago with an MM. It went great but I haven't heard anything back despite a pre-interview email telling me that they would contact me with a result and the two interviewers telling me they would email a result as well. Don't know when the superday is and if it happened already. I know a lot of places don't let you know but they seemed to explicitly say that they would email. Do I contact the HR person or just wait it out?
Thanks in advance.
Contact HR for update but odds are if its been two weeks their superday already happened or you didn't make it through the first round
In my experience, most companies (IB, consulting, CF) will only contact you after an interview (especially a first round) if they want you to move on. Otherwise, they will either send you a rejection email a few weeks or months later or you might never hear from them again.
I think a lot of it comes down to how much time HR has to notify rejected candidates as well as how much they care to notify such candidates considering how many people they interview especially for the first round. For superdays, the majority of firms will actually call you regardless of the outcome to notify you of their decision. I think this is because there are far fewer candidates to notify for superdays.
Hearing back after first round interview? (Originally Posted: 09/28/2016)
Hey everyone,
I had a phone interview about 2-3 weeks ago with a well-known bank. I really connected with the interviewer on a personal level and got all the technical questions correct. After the interview was over, my interviewer said that they would reach back out to me very soon with the next steps.
I haven't heard anything back yet. What are your opinions about this? Did I get dinged? I didn't get the impression that this was your typical misleading "we will be in touch with you" response, it felt very positive and optimistic.
Try reaching out to the HR / your interviewer!
Probably not a good sign at this point.
Response Time - 1st round OCR interviews (Originally Posted: 01/29/2014)
Hey guys, I luckily got some 1st round OCR interviews with a couple BBs.
How long does it take for them to get back to let you know the results? I heard the turn around is quick and if you don't hear back within a day, you're done, is this true?
My experience with OCR is that they usually get back to you within a day. So you could be hearing back anytime from the same evening to the following day. If you haven't heard back by the end of the next day chances are you didn't make it to the superday.
I'd say 2-3 days in general
