Should Commercial/Corporate Banking analysts be breaking out transaction experience on the resume?
Hello all, I see on a lot of PE/IB resumes analysts will break out various transactions they work on, especially for M&A. In my current role I'll have done full underwrites for 4 or 5 credits by year end. These were all highly leveraged loans between 15-120MM and primarily for Acquisition financing/div recaps/share repurchases/working capital.
Each underwrite required a 3 statement model, dcf, comps, multiple diligence calls with management, covenant modeling, etc. Nothing to the degree of an M&A process but I'm wondering if this merits an individual breakout for maybe the 2 or 3 larger transactions? I'm just looking for a way to quantify my underwriting/credit experience beyond 'oh yea I did a valuation for underwriting purposes'. Any advice appreciated.
