why do the exits out of silver lake, either to b school or other funds, not seem that strong? seems surprising given that its a mf that has put up solid returns over its last few funds

A lot at HFs like Coatue/Tiger. HF exits are on par with Apollo, which just goes to show how strong it is.
What’s your source on this? A quick linkedin search seems to suggest that Apollo/BX are much, much more prevalent at Tiger cubs

All went to HBS/GSB. All are at very good firms.

Was there a common reason why no one returned to SLP post-MBA? (eg weren’t given an offer, disliked culture, etc)
My friend exited to Goldman jersey city office. You might be able to squeak out a middle office role somewhere but you can kiss your FO dreams goodbye having that on your resume. just my .02

Silver Lake is the exit. A top 3 private equity fund currently.
SL is a good firm & among the top three tech investors with vista/thoma but I wouldn't put them top three overall
