Stock Research / Investment Analysis
Would anyone who works at a hedge fund be willing to send me an example of an investment thesis and what you would include as the evidence in terms of fundamental analysis, technical analysis, quantitative/qualitative reasons for the investment?
you think it's that easy to have a hedge fund An give a random a full-blown professional thesis that's distributed to paying high net worth clients with zero benefit in return, bro? lol...try again. and search around on this site for mock-up examples....

You can check out VIC too.
Bandit, relax...I'm looking more for a simple template that I can play around with and practice on random stocks...
To everyone else who reads my original post, I apologize if I come off as simply wanting some of your work that you clearly spent weeks on just to use for god knows what. I have recently realized that the HF route is of interest to me and I have started really looking into stocks and even investing some of my own money based on very simple credit analysis. I am trying to expand on this and use more complex analysis to form theses. Hopefully all of this practice will help me a couple years down the road in HF interviews and helping to explain my own personal strategy using at least semi complex analysis. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Seabird, Thank you for the links. I assume I should probably know this, but what is VIC?
The people above have given you some good suggestions. I would go one step further (in a way, one step back) and ask you to really think about how you personally like to invest. Figure out your personal style, what kind of risk you're willing to take on, length of investment period, etc. This process in itself will teach you how to put together an investment thesis because you'll literally be trying to convince yourself to, or not to, buy the stock.
Also, just run a search on Google. I'm sure you'll find tons of materials relating to security analysis.
Edit: Looks like you already know this stuff.
Value investors club.
Check out page 78 of the hertz presentation for some metrics value hf's often use to judge whether a stock is a viable option for their investment strategy.
And if youd like me to talk you through some of this stuff dawg, just shoot me a pm w/ your gmail and we can chat it over and I can hook you up with some more stuff.
Don't do it, it's a trap. Seabird is a weird raper guy.
