Suitable Quant Trading path for an Australian Student.

Greetings to members of WSO,

I am currently entering my final year at highschool and would highly value your opinions on my following inquiries. Aware of the low selection rate on becoming a quant trader, I am currently seeking a suitable + safe path(degree to fall back on in the case that I fail the interviews on becoming a quant trader) on entering this occupation through the following degrees provided:

~ Advanced Mathematics + Engineering
~ Advanced Mathematics + Computer Science
~ Data Science + Specialisation on Quantitative Data Science

If possible, are there any books that you would recommend for prep? I am currently using Anki to reinforce apply what I have learnt toward my future projects/goals!

I have currently completed and achieved an average of 50 on Zetamac’s default settings :
~ Udemy’s Python
~ Udemy’s Machine Learning
~ Udemy’s Artificial Neural Networks
~ No Bullshit Guide to Linear Algebra by Ivan Savov
~ Highschool level of ODE, PDE and Combinatorics

● Currently reading option volatility and pricing strategies by Sheldon Natenberg

If you've made it this far, I would like to thank you for taking your time out of your day and wish you a New Year of health and success!

For additional context: I am from Australia , NSW. ( it would be a pleasure to further chat to any Australians viewing this :D)
