RBC here - TD is the only domestic rival we look at in terms of competition (not for deal flow, everyone's 'competition') but in terms of culture, pay, etc. TD is a great shop and they're doing better and better. The culture is great as well. To whomever asked if TD was better than BMO, in terms of culture it's a massive difference.

canada theyre usually just behind RBC so one of the big players there.

In the US they've been kicking ass in lev fin this year from the numbers.

also pre-corona they were throwing resources at RE (bought out some shop) but it might just all blow up in their face now lol. dont know where they stand now and how much impact it has had but def the intent seemed to be there.

during my mba recruiting few years ago i almost signed with them and actually really liked the team but just couldnt take the plunge with the uncertain brand name. however they made a big pitch about their future plans and why its the right time to sign with them. And tbh they have made an attempt

still they are clearly lower tier.

Which other banks would TD compare to in the US? Thoughts on TD prestige vs DB/KeyBanc/Stifel/Cantor/BMO?

I would put TD as a mid-tier bank in your group. DB is the best one, Cantor is arguably the worst, and Stifel, BMO, TD aren't too different

Anyone know what the deal flow & culture are like in their P&U group in Toronto?
