Topic at hand - Will the (future) widespread adoption of the artificial womb render women useless, resulting in a male-only society?
Girls will essentially be wallflowers. A few will be kept around in museums, etc. Patrons will gawk at them, and recall their importance throughout most of humanity.
(Think that today, everything can be done virtually, globally, within seconds. The only thing that actually requires face-to-face interaction is procreation.)
In 2400 or whatever, men will contribute money (or the future equivalent of wealth) to be granted access to a genetic database of available eggs. His sperm would already be in a database. Choose the girl he thinks is beautiful, and voila, your baby will begin contruction ("growing") in a laboratory. Pick up in 8 months, free shipping optional.
Most people would choose males, given the uselessness of having a 50/50 gender ratio in society. Corporations may create females to serve as museum displays, escorts, or otherwise visual eye-candy. Or, they may purposely select for characteristcs that allow for manual labour, etc.
Continuing my thought, this means that ugly women will be SOL (so out of luck). Said another way, humans will literally be perfect specimens. (not sure this is beneficial, as you need ugly to have pretty).
The technology WILL work on humans (confirmed). However, you know ethicists are all up in arms.

so in essence, is the question of whether men are inherently hedonists or pragmatists. if we are the former, then yes, men would not "cease fucking women" as you suggested.
BUT, if we're pragmatists, then women would slowly cease to have a function.
