List of US companies sponsoring H1B Visa
Found this while monkeying around and looking at MSF and MMS a while ago, thought it would be helpful for fellow international students. Kudos to folks at McIntire who compiled this list.

I've also attached a different version of the list. Same title, but different list with some different companies.

I'm sure a lot of WSO's international users will find that helpful, thanks for sharing
I am an international student and this is very helpful because in case I do not get into investment banks, I need something else to do. Thanks OP!!
are you by any chance from eastern europe?
@blueslord2910: Are you from VN?
Wells Fargo doesn't sponsor visas
True, wells is the only BB that doesnt sponsor visa. @WST666: I'm not from Europe
oh, sorry man, but I was actually asking this to @Ambani :)
Asia
and I go to a semi-target in Massachusetts
VN= Vietnam
I found this a few days ago. It covers all industries/employers but may give additional information about volume, status.

thanks
My impression as I dig through their data is that myvisajobs' list is more about sponsoring employees at the higher level.
i am a girl interested in trading and i am lost....list of trading firms that sponsor visas? (Originally Posted: 01/08/2015)
Hello Everyone This is my first time posting (borrowed account) but I'd really appreciate your help. To give a little background of myself, I am a junior at a target school with quantitative major. I am very interested in trading (not market making but taking positions) but I realized the majority of trading firms do not sponsor visas even the big ones. I am reaching out to people who've been in similar situation with me but so far I've only found few firms (Citadel, DE Shaw,..) and I am starting to get worried that I will have difficult time getting trading internship and subsequently full-time offer.. If anyone has any advice or knows other firms that sponsor visas, I would really appreciate your help!
anyone please? T T
i know Barclays sponsored H1 for a friend post MBA in sales & trading
thank you for the information..i am looking for undergraduate summer internship though, which I guess makes firms even less likely to sponsor Visa for me
Do you trade on your own account?
yes i do, i have about $8,000 in my account currently..
Sorry if stupid question but where do you live?
my school is in chicago which is fortunate for me since there are lot of prop trading firms around here..i think a lot of them don't sponsor Visa though...
Sorry if stupid question but where do you live?
i decided to expand my search to include market making positions and it seems OPT allows quantitative majors to work without Visa for 28 months? does anyone with international background have any experience with OPT??
Yes, being on a Visa definitely cuts down your list of opportunities. I would focus on the larger firms like the ones you mentioned. If you have quant (programming) skills that will definitely make your life easier as firms are much more willing to sponsor if you have that skill set. Eg. Firms like AQR, Point72 (SAC), 2 sigma.
Definitely include market making firms to expand your base- Optiver, Flow, CTC, SIG, Group One Trading. They have structured training programs for full time hires and also provide internships. Pretty sure most of them sponsor. Also re. OPT look at the below from http://internationalcenter.umich.edu/immig/fvisa/f_optextend.html#stem
Special 17-month STEM Extension General Information Definition of STEM OPT Practical work experience in your field of study, typically after completion of a degree for a maximum of 29 months (12 months of “regular” OPT with a 17-month extension possible). Eligibility Criteria for the 17-month OPT extension Students who have already been approved for 12 months of post-completion OPT; and Who have earned a degree in a field included on the U.S. Government's list of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields; and Who are employed in a job directly related to his/her field of study; and Who are working for an employer that is enrolled in the U.S. Government's E-Verify program. Please Note: All four of the above criteria must be met in order for a student to be eligible for the 17-month OPT extension.
thank you for your reply lot of really useful information and advice i will make sure to look into the firms you mentioned!
Another international here. Most (if not all) BBs sponsor Visa. I was in your shoes a couple of yrs ago, so PM me if you need more info( though I do not think I have that much info, since you already know OPT and a list of firms sponsoring Visa)
glad to find someone who was in similar situation..hopefully things will work out thank you for your offer to help i will pm you if any question arises
OPT does not require sponsorship. It's needed when you apply for H1B which your firm will have to fill after your OPT Visa expires (1 year). Keep in mind that the OPT Visa holders have a 20,000 priority over the 60,000 maximum cap.
It is very hard for international to enter into Prop shop. All the internationals I know are in BB right now.
Looking for trading too
Do you guys know if it's possible for us to do a STEM extension for doing an ibanking job at a BB ....
