I worked in PB before at a BB, and would definitely advise NOT to return if you want to become a portfolio manager one day.
This is a client relationship industry, not investments related. Unless you are working on the solutions desk then maybe, but if you are working as an investments or banker guy, do NOT, i repeat, do NOT take this role no matter how much they pay you. It will be hard to pivot.
