2016 BlackRock Summer Analyst Discrepancies?
Hi all, I accepted a Summer Analyst position at BlackRock in their Financial Markets Advisory Group in New York. I was under the impression that I would be completing a 10 week program like all other finance internships; however, when I asked HR for the exact start and end date they told me June 2nd - July 28th (or 8 weeks). Is this normal? Do you have any ideas what this could mean?
Thanks.
Some firms do 8 week programs. It isn't that unusual. Lehman used to only do 8 week internships and their program was considered one of the best. From the firm's perspective, they have more than enough information on you after 8 weeks to decide if you're a good full time hire.
but on the website they advertise 10 weeks? what do you think that means?
