"I am currently working in Compliance for a small Hedge Fund and am looking to change jobs. I am awaiting offers from a $15 B hedge fund as a compliance analyst, as well as from BlackRock as a compliance associate. I'm not sure which I should choose if it comes down to it.
Would anyone recommend moving out of Hedge Funds into asset management? Anyone have thoughts on BlackRock?"
The most straightforward thing to do is get a no lease room/apt and after you're in the area for a while jump ship to where you prefer. The whole JC downtown is becomming pretty nice, and the upside is that it's quiet at night and not too far from the hotspots...so you can have fun but also get rest when you need it. I live in the area right around GS, hit me up if you want more details.

Look in Pavonia-Newport. http://www.newportrentalsnj.com/
There isn't much of a nightlife in JC, you'll have to go to NYC or Hoboken for that
