Advice

I'm currently a sophomore at a non-target school with a 3.7 GPA and solid coursework under my belt, but can't seem to land anything for this summer. Had a buy-side internship last summer working directly under a portfolio manager, and have taken steps outside of the classroom to improve my marketability for future internships/jobs. This has mostly included networking, working on an FMVA certification from the Corporate Finance Institute, creating my own research reports and trying to build a website geared towards young value investors, applying to the Value Investors Club online, reading Ben Graham's Intelligent Investor and Security Analysis, and other books and articles I come across. Enough about me. It's abundantly clear that the buy-side/asset management route is exactly where I want to go in life, but I'm having trouble finding value shops that would align with my ideologies in the Boston area (that's where I'm from). I'm hoping someone could offer some guidance because after doing all this and essentially putting my best foot forward I keep running into dead ends. I do acknowledge the other posts on this forum regarding this route and that I will most definitely continue to get no's and no's for a while before something works out, but sometimes it feels like I'm shooting blanks in the dark.
