AUM per head
I would argue that one of the best ways to measure career potential in small AM shops would be to track AUM per head.
After what threshold would you guys classify that figure to be good / extraordinary? And would you include operations and HR employees into your calculations?
I calculated revenue per employee with a ballpark AUM/head * bps fee, which I assume should be the max ceiling on your future wage.
