Average bonus for an allocator at an endowment or foundation?

Anyone have a general idea of what comp and bonuses are as an allocator across all levels?

I'm making $120k as an analyst at an endowment with 3.5 years of experience (1st year as an allocator) so I'm trying to see what the trajectory is like.

Comp at top E&Fs is generally public record. You can look up any nonprofit’s tax return and the compensation for the top people will always be listed. This almost always includes the CIO and can also include other senior investment professionals. You can also see comp for public pensions since employees are civil servants.

In general, comp is higher where AUM is higher. I’ve seen manager base be anywhere from $150-300k, directors generally $200-500k, and MDs $300k-1m+. Bonus is generally 25-100+% and usually depends on investment performance (probably a few years trailing returns). CIOs can get paid a few million a year at the biggest E&Fs.
