Best time to move to London?

Hi everyone,

Might sound like a silly question but thought I'd ask.

I'm looking at making the move to London soon and was wondering if there's a ideal time to move? Does hiring happen sporadically or is at year end etc when hiring is at its peak?

Thanks in advance.

Wait for next week and see which companies/how many people will head back to the offices. Hiring will most likely increase within a few weeks afterwards.

There is no quarantine requirement if you are traveling FROM amber or green countries after 19th of july. Only the PCR test and fees.
I would wait for the 19th of July and see where the infections will end up. But it looks good that the death rate isn't increasing rapidly, so the vaccine seems to be working.

Hiring is normally increased in autumn, but I don't know if that is the same case for 2021.

work permit: I am assuming you were in the EU settlement scheme beforehand or have UK citizenship. If not, contact the home office for assistance.

Thanks for the response. I probably should've added more detail. So I'm not looking at making the move immediately. It's something I intend to do in the next 12 months or so. I just wanted to understand if there's a hiring timeline etc. Ideally I arrive at a time that maximizes my opportunity of landing a gig. Visa and all that shouldn't be a problem too.
