Career Progression from Back office Finance role in AM

Hi Guys,

I'll appreciate some solid advice here:

I am a Business Finance graduate who now has over 4 years experience working in the Finance Operations department of large Asset Management. Having completed my CFA level 1 and planning on taking the next level, I am looking to make the move to the front office.

What sort of options should i be considering? Is anyone able to give a quick summary of the day to day tasks and skills required to be Analyst in Fixed Income or Quality Fund strategies?

Thanks,

Take a giant dump on a PM's desk to establish alpha (both ones...)

Within minutes they'll give you a corner office.
