Career Switch into Endowments with MBA? (Any advice would mean the world to me)

I am planning on getting an MBA in a couple years, and I am very interested in doing a career switch into Endowments. I have a bit of a unique background, so any and all help and guidance would mean the world to me.

I don't want to get too specific with my background and what I am currently doing, as it is niche, but a few quick points:

* 3 Years WE, doing proptech at a commercial real estate investment firm (repe)

* CFA L3 Candidate

* Day to Day is largely tech, I do work closely with our finance & investment team (this is more recent after I expressed an interest in CFA and investments, will help with the experience needed to formally receive the charter after L3 pass).

* Ivy League Undergrad, Top 10 Masters in Comp Sci

* 125k all-in, LCOL city

* 780 GMAT

* I do NOT want to leave my current firm before my MBA, as I and two others are leaders of a new tech that I want to see all the way through to completion (And will get kickass Recs)

I know Endowments is a very competitive field, and breaking in earlier is always best. When I graduated, I simply was not exposed to finance at all and did not know what all was out there.

I am planning on applying to MBA programs in 2022 -- is a switch to Endowments feasible? What can I do to maximize my chances? Obviously will target the top schools for Asset Management -- goal is to probably intern during the school year for the school's Foundation....but are my options limited in terms of Full Time opportunities post graduation? I don't see many Associates + above that are career switchers at the university foundations I've looked at (and I've looked at A LOT). I don't know if I could join as an analyst, coming off all that MBA debt... although perhaps my career would be accelerated with the MBA and CFA?
