Compensation Progression AM
Saw a post in HF forum about people posting their compensation progression through first 10 years but couldn't see anything like that in AM (atleast not recent). Wondering if anyone can comment about their progression through the years in AM? along with the AUM/ structure.
Looks like the first few years are in the $275k+ range.
im assuming your $275k figure is post mba?
Yes, should have included that. Not Y1 out of undergrad.

For top AMs like D&C, Wellington, PIMCO, Cap Group, first year MBA investing seats are $400K+ guranteed. It then ramps up pretty quickly when you start managing money.
Do investing roles include Research (Credit/Equity)?
Know some people on the sales side (Account) at PIMCO. Roles pay upwards of $325-$350k post-MBA. The money is good all round.
How’s the lifestyle for account managers? Do you have to work out of one of their offices?
How about firms like Vanguard, Invesco, Fidelity?
