Corporate Treasury to Asset Management

I am currently a first-year Analyst in treasury at a top BB. I want to move to the front office, ideally Asset Management, although just moving to the front office is most important. What would be the fastest way to make this transition? Should I pursue the CFA level 1 to make this jump or is there a better way? I had good stats in undergrad coming from a nontarget.
