CPPIB/Orbis/Blue Crest/Temasek
Hello everyone, I'll be graduating next June and am interested in applying for AM/LO/HF internship/grad programmes in London. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences at the following 4 firms: CPPIB, Orbis Investments, Blue Crest Capital Management and Temasek Holdings as I feel there is not much information regarding these few firms and I would like to find out more before applying.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could share how: i) life of an intern/grad (responsibilities, hours etc) ii) reputation iii) remuneration iv) prospects for the long-term and v) culture compares to that of the large AMs like Blackrock, Fidelity, Wellington etc and BB AMs. Cheers!

My opinion of Orbis after interviewing is very, very negative. All white men (literally no women on the team), rather condescending, and a very lengthy interview process. Big on contrarian investing, so a lot of sketchy deals. Your work would be all about heavy due dilligence, fighting before ICs, and a lot of fundamental research. Only pursue it if you really, really enjoy contrarian investing.
Is this true, that Orbis has an investment committee? I would assume the PMs make decisions.
