You should be worried. It's still part of the firm. That's the problem with working at a bank AM because they are just part of the overall bank's capital allocation decision. 

I would assume restructuring is expected. Even if business continuity is ensured. Tbh I would be worried, but still an acceptable window to have a view of what to expect.

Never really see much hiring from them. Do they prefer hiring from competitors directly?

The asset manager has exposure to the hedge fund blow ups. 

Their entire banking operation seems to be heavily influenced by hedge funds, which might also heavily influence their employment options and opportunities.

Current interns + juniors should not be worried almost at all

The restructuring & co will take at least 2 years.

For normal mergers it’s usually 6 months, so only think about the time it takes to set up everything of a leading systemic (top30) BB bank

There has auditing to be made, complex due diligence procedures, several meetings with UBS and MBBs to figure out everything…

It will therefore not finish anytime soon

In the meanwhile it’s good that you look for another company to start your career (if you are an intern) since the direct entry will probably not work. This is the only downside for you

Same thing for the entry levels

Try to learn as much as you can in your experience, earn your good bucks and then, apply your career cushioning strategy to hop to another company in case you should not be taken or fired
