Doubleline is not really AM and certainly isn't large either. The i.e. vs. e.g. has always annoyed me, but so many people use it incorrectly I don't find it worth it to correct.

I don't expect the day-to-day for fixed-income is much different from equity at a large AM, but it's going to depend if you're an emerging sovereign analyst vs. high-yield vs. high-grade corporates, etc. Follow news flow, interact with sell-side, meet with managements, attend conferences, interact with PMs, read/analyze a lot of stuff.
