Didn't do any of my pre-internship training

The title says it all: I didn't do any pre-internship training and start Monday. It is technically impossible to cover all the material at the moment. (The role is an investment role at a large LO AM think T. Rowe/Fidelity)

I've ordered 48 Rules of Power on Amazon and it should be arriving tomorrow, do you think this will be enough to cover as I catch up on the material over next week?

Joking aside, how negatively would it impact me if I'm not up to speed on everything especially early on in the week? (I'm the only intern on my particular team)

Depends on the role - is it ER? My training at a similar firm was mostly ER-focused, and therefore pretty useless for people in other investing roles (like me).

skim read the material so you recognise the key terms and know where to look in the textbook before you inevitably ask for help. The analyst/ associate directly above you will cut you slack if you at least try/ know where to look and give problem areas a shot yourself first.
