It's one of the more highly regarded value firms. I don't know how they've done it, but their AuM has grown a lot while the rest of the industry keeps shrinking. They're so large now that I would almost consider them closet indexers (i.e. at >300bn AuM, it's pretty tough to beat the benchmark).
They have a Research Associate program geared towards undergrads that is one of the best ways to get into the industry. I believe they also hire several MBA analyst interns every year from which they recruit their new analysts. I believe they recruit new research hires exclusively from these two pools. They have low staff turnover so it would be very, very competitive to get a position there.

Agree with other poster. Would almost consider it boutique except they have 300+billion. Hire lots of GSB. Would be like landing at evercore for IB. If you have even a sliver of chance-take it.
