Fidelity Performance Shares – anyone seen promissory notes used?
For current or former Fidelity employees:
In the Fidelity Performance Shares bonus program, has anyone personally seen bonuses paid via promissory note instead of shares or cash? The plan docs allow it, but I’m curious how often it actually happens.
If yes, was this:
– while still employed, or
– around the time of leaving/after departure
Trying to get a sense of how this is actually used in practice.
