Fidelity SA2023 Networking

I go to a low semi target with an okay GPA (3,7). We have no alumn here, how hard will it be to get a first round wo networking? Was going to apply to either Investment Research or Equity Trading

For any investment roles, semi-target background with no networking is a longshot. Even if you have no alum, you should just find people through linkedin and reach out. Also, I would think recruiting for '23 has already concluded for Fidelity as they seem to have an accelerated recruiting timeline vs. other top AM shops.

Recruiting for fundamental has already concluded for ‘23 class as mentioned - they are competing with other top buy side / IB who recruit in spring now so they moved to earlier recruitment as well. Would agree with the above though too, no networking and lower tier semi-target does hurt your case in future. Fidelity does recruit from non-top targets but looks for deep investment passion / independent work / clubs etc. when other pieces aren’t top.
