Fixed Income Seats at Large LO Shops
Would anyone be able to comment on the experience as an FI investor at large LO shops that do not specialize in fixed income (think T. Rowe, Capital, Fidelity)? Is there a big comp discount compared to equity investors at early stages?
Hey jasp88, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot...do any of these help:

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Worked in FI at one of the shops listed and I would say there was a comp discount at the jnr level between equities and fixed income, but it wasn't huge
Is there still generally a comp discount as you get more senior?
I wouldn’t say so, the thing is on the FI side you manage A LOT more money if you was to become PM so it kind of makes up for it. I know FI PM’s comfortably making in the millions, similar to their Equity counterparts.
